Media Portraying Teenager thoughts

 Effects of Teenagers of media

The way that teenagers are being portrayed in media is cruel and unfair with many stories are being made about them, most of them not even having a teenager having their own word or perspective of the scene or incident. These stories that are being made about them are only helping to increase the amount of stereotyping that teenagers have to go through already. With the stories arising about how other teenagers are perfect or are menaces to society, many teenagers are having to evaluate themself or are having to compare themselves the these "perfect" teens are cruel and unfair.

AirPods Ad - 11 Media Studies

The idea for this planning is to appeal to our targeted audience which in this case is teenagers. Teenagers are drawn to images that feel relatable. In order for a product to be wanted by teenagers, you need to make them believe that they want to buy it and that you're not telling them to buy it. The music used in the ad was Tokyo drift by terrace boys. This suits the driving of the go-kart and adds an effect of action and excitement which this emotion specifically teenager enjoy the most out of the other emotions.

The plot for this ad is that Someone is riding around on a go-kart riding in a park and they come to a stop under the trees and stops the go-kart and complain about how it's too loud for the person. Someone offscreen hands them AirPods and they put them in their ears while on the go-kart. Music plays in the background while describing how useful and the features of the AirPods. The person on the go-kart asks where he can buy these amazing earphones and the offscreen person tells great information about them and where you can purchase the AirPods and the cost of the AirPods.

The codes and conventions that were used during the making of this film was

Bandwagon: We show this convention by explaining how everyone is using it and how it's the new fashion clothing and how everyone is using it and so should you.

Emotional: Appeals to the audience's emotions by telling them that having this product would benefit and make them cool and good-looking.

Unfinished ads: By using different words to make AirPods sound like the best product there is for sound, talk, and charge time.

Endorsements: By using three famous people for the AirPod ad. Them being XDGizzyGod a famous YouTuber, Dxcile an upcoming famous streamer, and Theo Weatherly a social media influencer.

Cool Factor: Fashionable, all the cool kids have this product. This product will make everyone attracted to you.

Potential issues:

Some of the shots taken from the go-kart could of lead to injury and harm to the driver.

One of the actors being a liability and took their time when being in the shots.

Copyright music that was added to the ad could cause a copyright strike.

The weather could have affected the go-kart scenes and the scenes in which the person is talking because of the wind. If the rain had come then the recording would have been delayed even further.

How we can avoid these potential issues:

Have some trail rides first and slowly speed up so that the driver can learn the basics of the vehicle that they are driving around to avoid injury.

Give the actors time to practice their lines out of school by themselves or in front of the rest of the crew.

Find a song that relates to the targeted audience but won't get copyrighted by the original owner.

Check the weather beforehand to see if it's a good day for the filming or if we need to postpone it.
